Cases of cruelty to dogs are not decreasing in Agra city of Uttar Pradesh. This time the incident happened in Kanshiram Awas (Trans Yamuna). On Monday night a dog was thrown from the fourth floor. Its ribs are injured. On getting the information, the human rights activist got the dog treated. A complaint has been lodged against the three accused brothers in Trans Yamuna police station. The police is investigating the matter.

Mohan Kumar Singh, in-charge of the central office of the National Human Rights Survey, said that information about the case was received on Tuesday afternoon. He reached Kanshiram Awas. The dog was found injured. People told that the dog lives on the third floor. At night, a young man living in the same residence came in a drunken state. He took the dog to the fourth floor on some pretext. After this, he picked it up and threw it away.
The dog fell on the grass, which saved its life. But, it was injured in many places. People reached there after hearing the dog’s voice. But, by then the accused youth had fled. On the other hand, Mohan Kumar had sought help from Vineeta Arora, the director of Caspers Home, for the treatment of the dog.
With the help of their worker, they got the dog treated. It has been left to live in the residence for now. The human rights worker has filed a complaint against Shanu and his two brothers. The Caspers Home operator said that police action will be taken in the case of cruelty to the dog.
Events have already happened
This is not the first case in the city. Earlier too, incidents of killing of dogs have come to the fore. A person living in a colony in Sikandra area had run his car over a dog. A similar incident had taken place in Saket Colony. There have also been cases of dogs being shot and dragged away. Police have also registered cases. But, due to lack of strict action, such incidents are continuously coming to the fore.
